New tires
Rebuild the front forks, the right seal is leaking
New sight glass for the master cylinder.
New diaphragm for the master cylinder.
New cover and new stainless screws for the master cylinder.
Replacing all screws, nuts, and bolts with bright stainless Allen head screws and bolts.
Replacing the speedometer cable.
Replacing the rear shocks.
Replace turn signals.
Updating the fuses.
The rest is cosmetic:
Striping the bike down to the bare frame then paint.
Polishing and sealing all of the aluminum.
Striping the tank down and putting a custom paint job on.
Restore the plastic and rubber pieces back to like new condition.
So that is basically it. While going through the process I will probably add some things or decide not to do others, but that is all part of the fun of restoring my bike.
Following is some pictures of some of the bike thus far:
New shocks.
Old fuse block and wiring.
Before I start.
Frame needs paint.
New turn signals.
This is just the beginning so stay tune and I will try to have regular updates. Because I am hoping to be up and running by mid July. And also feel free to leave any comments, I will need all the encouragement I can get.
